These Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between Grahmur Innovations Private Limited ("Lawqet", "Company", "we", "us", or "our") and the individual or entity ("User", "Advocate", "Subscriber", or "you") accessing or utilizing the Lawqet mobile applications, web search consoles, APIs, and cloud services (collectively, the "Platform" or "Services").
By creating an account, downloading our mobile applications, accessing the Legal Search Console, or using any of our advocate utility tools, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Verified Source Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease all access and use of the Platform.
⚖️ Mandatory Bar Council of India (BCI) Statutory Notice
As per the rules of the Bar Council of India (Rule 36 of Chapter II, Part VI of Bar Council of India Rules framed under the Advocates Act, 1961), advocates and law firms are strictly prohibited from soliciting work or advertising their legal practice in any format.
You expressly understand, acknowledge, and agree that:
- Lawqet is a Technology Enabler: Lawqet is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and legal informatics utility platform. Lawqet is not a law firm, does not engage in the practice of law, and does not provide formal legal representation, advocacy, or counsel before any court of law or judicial tribunal.
- No Client Solicitation or Lawyer Referral: Lawqet does not solicit clients on behalf of any advocate, nor does it recommend, endorse, or refer specific advocates to citizens for a fee or commission.
- No Attorney-Client Privilege with Lawqet: Use of the Platform, including automated legal searches, Bare Act queries, or court fee calculations, does not establish an advocate-client relationship between Grahmur Innovations Private Limited and any end-user.
- Informational Nature & General Disclaimer: The information provided in this app is for general information purposes only. While we strive to keep it accurate and up to date, it may not always be complete or free from error. You rely on this information at your own risk. All legal materials, judgments, Bare Act provisions, and penal code mappings provided on the Platform are purely for informational, research, and legal workflow optimization purposes.
Lawqet grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to access and utilize the following suites of digital legal tools:
- Case Tracker & Cause-List Sync: Digital tracking of CNR numbers, filing numbers, bench cause-lists, and order sheets across the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, District Courts, Taluka Courts, and specialized tribunals (NCLT, NCLAT, DRT, Consumer Fora).
- Legal Search Agent: Natural-language legal search grounded in official Central/State Gazettes, Supreme Court judgments, and statutory amendments.
- Criminal Law Mapper: Section-by-section transition mapping between the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), Indian Evidence Act (IEA) and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA), 2023.
- Court Fee Calculator: Rule-based ad-valorem, fixed fee, and valuation computation tools customized according to specific State Court Fees and Suits Valuation Acts across India.
- Police Station & Jurisdiction Finder: Geospatial and administrative mapping to identify jurisdictional police stations and magistrate court attachments.
- Advocate Digital Case Diary: Encrypted workspace for organizing hearing dates, client notes, stage reminders, and team tasks.
When utilizing Lawqet's AI-assisted features (such as query synthesis, automated case summarization, or draft structuring):
- Independent Professional Judgment: AI outputs are generated as computational aids to accelerate legal research. They do not constitute formal legal opinions. You, as a legal practitioner or user, retain the sole and exclusive responsibility to review, independently verify, and validate all citations, ratios, and statutory provisions prior to relying on them in judicial proceedings, pleadings, or legal advice.
- Zero Foundation Model Training: In accordance with our Privacy Policy, your uploaded pleadings, draft briefs, and case queries are strictly segregated and never used to train public LLM models.
- No Warranty of Completeness: While Lawqet enforces a strict "Zero Web Hallucination Standard" referencing only authenticated judicial sources, we do not warrant that AI-generated summaries will capture every nuances of a multi-volume judicial precedent.
Lawqet retrieves publicly accessible court records, daily cause lists, case statuses, and judicial orders from the official eCourts National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG), High Court registry portals, and the Supreme Court of India registry:
- Public Domain Data: Judicial orders, judgments, statutes, and cause lists are public records under Indian law.
- "As-Is" Availability: The availability and real-time refresh rates of case tracking alerts depend upon the operational status and uptime of governmental eCourts and National Informatics Centre (NIC) servers. Lawqet shall not be liable for missed hearing notifications caused by court registry server outages, API throttling, or network delays.
- Bench Roster Supremacy: Advocates are advised to verify urgent court appearances and bench pass-overs directly with the physical cause list displayed by court bench masters.
To access personalized case workspaces, you must register an account:
- Credential Hygiene: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your mobile OTPs, passwords, and biometric access keys. Any activity originating from your authenticated credentials shall be deemed your authorized activity.
- Bar Enrollment Verification: If you apply for a "Verified Advocate" badge or access professional-tier filing tools, you warrant that your State Bar Council enrollment number (e.g., D/1234/2020) is authentic, active, and not under suspension or disciplinary debarment.
- Unauthorized Access Notification: You agree to notify Lawqet immediately at
support@lawqet.app in the event of any unauthorized compromise of your advocate workspace.
Lawqet offers free tier utilities alongside premium monthly and annual subscription plans:
- Pricing & Taxes: All subscription fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are exclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST at 18%), which will be charged at checkout.
- Recurring Billing: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled by you prior to the renewal date via your account settings.
- Refund Policy: We offer a 7-day no-questions-asked refund guarantee for newly activated annual subscriptions. Monthly recurring subscriptions are non-refundable once billed, but you may cancel future renewals at any time with immediate effect.
- Price Revisions: Lawqet reserves the right to modify subscription pricing with a minimum of thirty (30) days prior notice sent to your registered email address.
The division of intellectual property on the Platform is structured as follows:
- Lawqet Proprietary IP: All software source code, algorithms, user interfaces, database architecture, logos, visual brand assets, and AI prompt engineering systems are the exclusive intellectual property of Grahmur Innovations Private Limited.
- Customer Workspace Content: You retain 100% full ownership, title, and copyright over all case briefs, client notes, internal research memos, and documents uploaded to your workspace ("Customer Content"). Lawqet claims no ownership over your confidential case files.
- Public Legal Domain: Central and State Enactments, Government Gazettes, and Supreme Court / High Court judgments indexed by Lawqet remain in the public legal domain.
You agree not to engage in any of the following restricted activities:
- Scraping, crawling, or extracting bulk databases, Bare Act compilations, or court fee valuation datasets using automated bots without express written permission;
- Attempting to probe, scan, or exploit security vulnerabilities of our cloud infrastructure, or bypassing API rate limits;
- Submitting defamatory, obscene, or unlawful material, or using the Platform to fabricate false citations or mislead judicial authorities;
- Reselling, sub-licensing, or distributing Lawqet tools to unauthorized third parties under white-labeled arrangements without commercial partnership agreements.
To the maximum extent permitted under applicable Indian laws:

In no event shall Grahmur Innovations Private Limited, its directors, officers, employees, or technical partners be liable for any indirect, punitive, special, incidental, or consequential damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, lost profits, missed court limitation deadlines, judicial dismissals, business interruption, or loss of practice goodwill) arising out of the use, inability to use, or reliance upon the Platform, its statutory mappings, or its case alerts.
Lawqet's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms shall be strictly capped at the total amount of subscription fees actually paid by you to Lawqet in the twelve (12) months preceding the incident giving rise to the claim (or ₹5,000 INR for free-tier users).
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Grahmur Innovations Private Limited, its directors, employees, and agents against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable advocate fees) arising out of: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your infringement of any third-party intellectual property or privacy right; or (c) any professional advice or court submissions rendered by you in reliance upon Platform outputs without independent verification.
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account upon material breach of these Terms, non-payment of subscription fees, or abusive automated scraping. Upon termination, your right to access the Services shall cease, and you may request an export of your case diary records within thirty (30) days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
These Terms and any disputes arising under or in connection with them shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the Republic of India, without regard to principles of conflicts of law.
- Amicable Resolution: In the event of any controversy, claim, or dispute, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter in good faith through direct mutual consultation.
- Binding Arbitration: If the dispute is not resolved within thirty (30) days of written notice, it shall be referred to and finally resolved by binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (as amended). The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator mutually appointed by the parties.
- Seat & Language: The seat and venue of arbitration shall be New Delhi, India, and proceedings shall be conducted in the English language.
- Courts Jurisdiction: Subject to the arbitration clause, the competent courts located in New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any ancillary proceedings.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. No failure or delay by Lawqet in exercising any right under these Terms shall operate as a waiver thereof.
